About Alan

I was born in Liverpool in 1950 and attended with steadily increasing age and hopefully mounting sagacity, the Liverpool Institute, Madeley College, and the Universities of Keele and ultimately Liverpool.  The subjects that I talks on here are ones that I find particularly valuable or fascinating – and usually both – ranging through subjects or authors such as the Perennial Philosophy, T.S.Eliot, Joseph Campbell, Shakespeare, Rupert Sheldrake, or Patanjali, to the Tibetan Book of the Dead and Finnegans Wake and others.  Each of these are chosen for the various reasons that I attempt to explain within the talks themselves.

Many of the talks are based on earlier talks by my friend and mentor, Eugene Halliday.
